Alpha v0.0.2 - Some small additions


New version! This is not a major update but it still contains some nice additions! Check out the list below to see what has been changed and added.

New Features

  • Added weapon 'sniper'
    • The new sniper weapon can be accessed by pressing [4] on your keyboard. (Yes, there are more weapons to come.) Note: There is no separate animation for the sniper, and for now it looks the same as the pistol.
  • Added dash ability
    • Press space every 3.5 seconds to use the new dash ability, which pushes you forward in the direction you're walking in.
  • Added pathfinding AI to zombie enemies
    • Instead of just circulating around you, zombies will now walk to you while at the same time trying to dodge obstacles and your bullets.
  • Added FPS counter
    • You are now able to see your current frames per second by just looking under the elimination count in the top-right corner.
  • Added platform validation
    • If anyone tries to pirate the game and put it their website without my approval, the game will warn about it and not allow playing.
  • Added rocket explosion on collision to walls
    • When rockets collide with a wall, they'll now explode.

Known Bugs

  • Low FPS and a spinning character
    • After a while of playing, the frames per second may go to something like 30 or 20 and get the player to start spinning. Even though I know this bug exists, I do not know how to fix it. I may fix it in the near future as soon as I can.
  • Spinning character on mobile
    • When playing on mobile, looking around does not work and the character is just spinning around and around. Remember, this game is still in alpha and mobile support is not meant to be perfect already. Please play on desktop/with mouse and keyboard if you want to be part of the testing.
